Shift Magazine
The purpose of this magazine was to shift the way we perceive music. This was shown through the lens of local women in San Francisco’s music scene.
Women in music face underrepresentation, causing a lack of diversity and cultural growth within the local music scene. This magazine focuses on women in the San Francisco Bay Area, through a series of interviews, photographs and personal statements. The recurring theme of pixels and the use of blue and pink reminds us to look past social norms towards colors and “pixel perfect” perceptions of how we define women in the industry.
